We supported the Education Research in Conflict and Protracted Crisis (ERICC) programme by conducting critical reflection and learning workshops to assess programme progress and identify opportunities for improvement, replication, and scale-up across different countries and contexts. We also produced reflection and learning reports for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and designed, conducted, and produced impact testimonials from key stakeholders to capture their perspectives on the strengths and weaknesses of the research process.

We conducted participatory research using creative, participatory approaches; River of Life, Ripple Effect Mapping, and stakeholder interviews with community partnerships to explore the relationship between financial resources and community power within Big Local. By examining power dynamics at individual, organisational, and socio-political levels, we identified how money serves as both a source and enabler of community power. Our research revealed a web of interrelated components that demonstrate how resources can generate and sustain community power effectively.

We supported the Redress programme in synthesising and disseminating its research process and findings by producing written and video case studies, creating a policy brief based on gathered evidence, developing an interactive multimedia report, and delivering podcast episodes to share key insights.

We provide academic support to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) through a range of teaching and training services. This includes supervising and advising PhD students who are using co-production and participatory research methods, delivering lectures on qualitative and participatory research, providing writing support to students and global partners, and Dr. Kim Ozano also contributes as an honorary lecturer.

We collaborated on a project to advance storytelling for health equity in Liverpool, working with communities, creatives, and health systems. This included conducting a comprehensive literature review to explore how storytelling can address health inequalities, co-designing research aims for a successful Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) proposal, and providing participatory research training for community members, health system actors, and creatives. We also produced graphics, a logo, video content, and an interactive report to capture and disseminate community experiences and insights.

We supported the dissemination of programme findings and strengthened capacity for global health podcasting by hosting and producing a seven-episode podcast miniseries on health systems resilience in fragile settings. We also delivered mentorship and training to enhance podcasting skills across partners and co-hosted a capacity strengthening session for podcast and film in global health at HSR2024.

We conducted qualitative interviews to capture the experiences of young people seeking mental health services in Wales. This involved recruiting participants through a bilingual recruitment website and partnerships with organisations, developing and implementing consent processes and securing ethics approval, and establishing safeguarding procedures for both researchers and participants. We conducted and recorded online interviews, providing Welsh language researchers where needed, and completed the process by producing and submitting detailed transcripts.

We bi-annually deliver sell-out courses for the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM), including "Participatory Action Research (PAR): Equitable Partnerships and Engaged Research" and "Applying Participatory Methods for Social Change: A Hands-On Learning Session," equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge in participatory research methods.
