Ruth Dixon
Research and Evaluation
Ruth's foundation as a trained epidemiologist and researcher provides her with robust quantitative analytical skills, from advanced statistical synthesis to the practical design of indicators and data collection tools. She excels at translating complex evidence into clear, decision-oriented insights. Ruth understands the delicate balance required in evidence-based decision-making: maintaining methodological rigour while ensuring feasibility for implementation partners and delivering the timely data needed for urgent action.
Her expertise encompasses strategic evaluation across the entire policy cycle, synthesizing data from mixed methods—key informant interviews, literature reviews, and big data analytics—to inform strategic decision-making. She actively engages with the full spectrum of evidence generation, from co-designing robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) architectures to conducting deep-dive coverage assessments and impact evaluations.
Beyond technical expertise, Ruth brings a decade of leadership and operational experience as a Board Director and later CEO of a Community Interest Company (CIC) in London. There, she oversaw peer-led, patient-centred interventions for populations with unmet needs, championing inclusive programming and community ownership. This breadth of experience enables her to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in moving from evidence to impact with confidence and clarity.
